Ann Kok turns down 4 dramas in a row, no wonder being an Ah Jie
She was once an Ah Jie in local show business, alongside fellow actresses Zoe Tay and Fann Wong. However, her star has been toned down of late since she took a step back from filming. But she doesn’t care at all.
In a recent interview with Shin Min Daily News, the 47-year-old actress revealed her reason for turning down four dramatic roles in a row. She simply said, “The roles were not suitable.”
When it comes to selecting roles, Ann prefers one that offers a challenge and also allows her a bit of room for creativity. Other factors she looks at include the script and her co-stars.
Regarding her Ah Jie status, she said, “What happened is past. If the shows I’m on still get a good audience, and people call me Ah Jie, I’d be honored. But I don’t really have any production right now. “. I’m thankful that most of my fans didn’t stop supporting me just because I didn’t act on any shows. “

The 51-year-old was recently the subject of a scam, but this time no one is impersonating him. Instead, the scam falsely claims that he was shot and hospitalized due to an interview he allegedly did about bitcoin.
He posted a public service announcement on his Instagram and wrote in Mandarin, “This is getting out of hand. I didn’t even know I was shot and hospitalized. I made a police report, but they can’t do anything since. [the scam] It is from Europe.
“I guess I have to console myself because I went international? Please know how to tell the difference between what is real and what is false. Don’t be fooled.”
