Global travel has reached a record low, thanks to the Covid-19 pandemic. With so few passengers to feed, the companies that provide food, drinks and snacks to airlines have adapted with the times and now offer the same food to people who want to enjoy it at home. And yes, they even deliver them.

Airline food is controversial. Some travelers love it, others profess to hate it. I personally am on the side of love. Traveling makes me feel hungrier than usual, and I’m excited to see the cabin crew making their way through the aisles with their food carts. The fact that you can choose: chicken or fish? – is an extra touch, and there is always a fun variety of dishes on the tray to enjoy.

My favorite part is unwrapping all the little foil covered containers to reveal the goodies they contain. Airline food can be a bit mediocre, but it can be surprisingly delicious at times.

The companies behind in-flight meals for various global airlines have turned their attention to customers who are stuck at home.
