Golden Mile Complex, Sim Lim Square among places visited by COVID-19 cases during infectious period

SINGAPORE: On Friday (January 22), several shopping centers were added to the Ministry of Health’s list of public places visited by community cases of COVID-19 during their infectious period.

A total of nine locations were added to the list, including shopping centers such as Golden Mile Complex, Bedok Mall, and Paya Lebar Square.

A food center at Sim Lim Square, a Japanese restaurant on Kampong Bahru Road, and Tsuta restaurant at VivoCity were also added.

Those identified as close contacts of confirmed cases have already been notified by the Ministry of Health.

As a precautionary measure, people who were in these places during the specified times should monitor their health closely for 14 days from the date of the visit.

“They should see a doctor immediately if they develop symptoms of acute respiratory infection (such as cough, sore throat and runny nose), as well as fever and loss of taste or smell, and inform the doctor of their history of exposure,” said the Ministry of Health. .

There is no need to avoid places where COVID-19 cases have been recorded, the Health Ministry added.

“The National Environment Agency will involve the administration of the affected facilities to provide guidance on cleaning and disinfection,” the Health Ministry said.

A community case was one of 15 COVID-19 cases from Singapore on Friday.
