ExxonMobil Asia Pacific President and CEO Gan Seow Kee will retire on January 1 of next year after more than four decades with the company.
Geraldine Chin, director of ExxonMobil Asia Pacific, will take over the top positions, the oil company said in a statement Thursday.
Mr. Gan is also Chairman and Director of ExxonMobil China Petroleum and Petrochemical Company, and serves as a Director at Fujian Refining and Petrochemical Company, as well as Sinopec SenMei (Fujian) Petroleum Company.
He joined Esso Singapore in 1979 and has held various positions in manufacturing, sales and marketing, supply and marketing, planning and finance in Singapore and the United States. This included the US-based ExxonMobil’s world leading petroleum products supply and trading business.
Gan joined the Singapore Presidential Advisory Council in 2020.
He is also vice president of the Singapore Business Federation and a board member of the Singapore Economic Development Board.
His successor, Ms. Chin, joined ExxonMobil 32 years ago. The Singaporean has held positions in Singapore and the US, including in sales and marketing, supply and trade, planning, human resources, and research.
She serves as a director of Sinopec SenMei (Fujian) Petroleum Company and serves on internal councils for the development of Asian and women leadership at ExxonMobil.
