Floor tiles suddenly ‘pop up’ in the Bedok North cafeteria during lunchtime

Stomper Anonymous and his wife were having lunch at a cafeteria in Block 416 Bedok North Avenue 2 when, suddenly, the floor tiles began to appear.

The Stomper was shocked when he saw this happen on Sunday (September 27) at 1.30pm and told Stomp about this incident.

He also sent photos of the blown floor tiles.

“My wife and I were having lunch in the cafeteria when all of a sudden, we heard a commotion near the stalls,” Stomper said.

“I soon realized that it was because the floor tiles were starting to lift.

“It was a pretty scary sight.

“This area of ​​Bedok is an older property and there were tons of old people there.

“An elderly man in a wheelchair got stuck when the tiles appeared.

“Some customers from the cafeteria and some stall owners immediately went to help him.

“Many others also helped each other out of the cafeteria safely.

“Soon after, some stall owners intentionally smashed some burst tiles to relieve pressure.

“The stall owners were experienced, and honestly, they did a great job of getting everyone out and cleaning the area.”
