Seeing travelers eat on the train even though it is forbidden is not so rare.

But imagine seeing food scraps on the train seats.

Even worse is when these remains are not crumbs from a quick bite, but meat bones that have dried.

Stomper Kelly saw what appeared to be chicken bones left on the seats of a train on the northeast line to Punggol on Thursday (Nov 12), around 10pm.

She said: “The bones were already there when I boarded at the Dhoby Ghuat MRT station. It looked like someone had eaten on the train and had thrown the bones on the seats.”

According to Kelly, who shared photos of the incident, the bones were still there when he got off at the Sengkang MRT station.

She added: “I am very disappointed in how people can eat on the train and dump their garbage there without thinking about others.”

Under the Rapid Transit Systems (RTS) Act, the consumption of food and beverages is not allowed on trains and MRT stations. Violators can be fined up to $ 500.
