Delivery rider taken to hospital after car accident at Sengkang crossing

An 18-year-old motorcyclist was rushed to the hospital after being involved in a car accident at the intersection of Sengkang East Road and Sengkang East Avenue on Sunday afternoon (May 10).

Several Stompers alerted Stomp to online photos of the incident showing a motorcycle lying on the ground and debris strewn on the road.

The front windshield of the car involved is smashed.

According to the Facebook pages ROADS.sg and SG Road Vigilante, the rider is believed to be a GrabFood driver and the Mazda is a private rental vehicle.

In response to a Stomp inquiry, police said they were alerted to the accident at 5.05 p.m.

The 18-year-old male motorcyclist was conscious when he was taken to Tan Tock Seng Hospital, a police spokesman said.

Police investigations are ongoing.
