SINGAPORE: Visitors entering Singapore from 11:59 p.m. From Sunday (November 8) with travel history in the last 14 days to Estonia or Norway must fulfill their notice period of stay at home in specialized facilities.
This is due to a “sharp increase” in the number of COVID-19 cases in Estonia and Norway in the last week, the Ministry of Health (MOH) said on Friday.

Those with a history of travel to Estonia and Norway will be required to submit their 14-day stay-at-home notice to specialized facilities, even if they have obtained approval before to opt out.
The Health Ministry announced on October 27 that those coming from the two countries will be able to deliver their home stay notice to a suitable place of residence when they arrive in Singapore.
Norwegian Prime Minister Erna Solberg told Norwegians on Thursday to stay home as much as possible, after tightening restrictions on meetings last week. The country recorded 3,118 new COVID-19 cases last week, up from 1,718 cases the previous week, Reuters reported.
Estonia reported 241 new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours on Friday, according to its health ministry website.
TRAVELERS FROM SOME COUNTRIES MAY APPLY TO OPT OUT
Travelers from Fiji, Finland, Japan, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Turkey can still apply to opt out of dedicated facilities and serve the home stay notice period at their place of residence if they meet the following requirements:
– You did not travel to any other country or region other than those listed above, as well as Australia, Brunei, Hong Kong, Macao, mainland China, Malaysia (excluding Sabah), New Zealand, Taiwan and Vietnam in the last 14 consecutive days prior to the entrance. .
– They are occupying their place of residence alone or only with household members who are also persons who comply with the stay-at-home notice with the same travel history and duration of the notice.
COVID-19 tests will still be administered before the end of the stay-at-home notice period, the Health Ministry said.

“All travelers are reminded to accurately declare their travel history. Strict measures will be taken against false statements,” the Health Ministry said.
“As the global situation evolves, we will continue to adjust our border measures to manage the risk of importation and transmission to the community,” the ministry added.
Travelers are advised to check the Safe Travel Office website for the most up-to-date border measures before entering Singapore. They must be prepared to be subjected to existing border measures upon entry, including paying for their stay in specialized facilities, tests and treatment, the Health Ministry said.
