The move comes after crowds and queues were observed during peak periods, and is intended to give visitors “peace of mind” by facilitating safe COVID-19 management measures, SDC said.

Visitors can continue to enter the beaches without reservation on weekdays, subject to capacity limits.

Reservations, which are limited to five per group, will open on October 10, for visits starting October 17.

BEACHES SEGMENTED IN 7 ZONES

According to safe distancing measures, Tanjong, Palawan and Siloso beaches have been divided into seven zones, each with a capacity of between 100 and 350, SDC said.

BEACH GAMES

Reservations for 15 beach courts on Tanjong, Palawan and Siloso beaches will also be required for those who wish to play games like beach volleyball.

Up to five people are allowed in each court-based game, with no mixing of player groups or crossover games.

Guests who have reserved beach courts are not required to make another reservation to enter the beach, the company added.

“Launching a reservation-only beach entrance during peak periods will help us ensure Sentosa remains safe for all guests and staff,” said SDC CEO Thien Kwee Eng.

We also seek the cooperation of our guests to remain socially responsible so that Sentosa remains a place where all visitors will have a pleasant experience. “
