Concrete mixer accident on Rochor Road leaves man injured, Singapore News & Top Stories

SINGAPORE – An accident involving a concrete mixer early Sunday (November 29) resulted in the driver sustaining injuries and causing disruptions to public transportation.

The incident, which did not involve any other vehicles, occurred on Rochor Road toward East Coast Parkway (ECP).

A police spokesman said they were alerted at 2.40 a.m. Sunday.

The 29-year-old male driver was sent to Tan Tock Seng Hospital for his injuries. I was conscious.

At 6am Sunday, SBS Transit posted a tweet saying that some of its bus services would be skipping the bus stop on Victoria Street in front of the Bugis MRT station, due to the accident.

When ST arrived at the scene around 10.30am, a traffic police car was seen blocking a small section of Victoria Street, near where the accident occurred.

Officers from the Singapore Civil Defense Force were seen using fire hoses to remove the leaked liquid as a result of the accident.

SBS Transit tweeted at 10:40 a.m. that services are back to normal.

The police are investigating the cause of the accident.
