What makes a topical Halloween costume? Aside from an anthropomorphic depiction from 2020, another surprising sight would be a Safe Distance Ambassador (SDA) patrolling the streets to enforce the rules.
Jaarvis Ali, an aspiring comedian from Singapore, brought the scares and laughter in his Halloween costume as an ASD while out and about for the weekend.
The presence of ASD, however, shouldn’t be scary; They are just people with a responsibility to ensure that everyone is safe amid the Covid-19 pandemic. Physically demanding work includes dealing with unruly behavior and reminding the public to take necessary steps, including keeping their masks on at all times and maintaining a safe distance from each other, to reduce the chances of spreading the contagious virus.
On Saturday (October 31), the comedian thought it would be fun to walk down Arab Street dressed as an SDA in a simple outfit of a red polo shirt and a drawstring around his neck. The “ambassador” in SDA was changed to “ambassador”.

The irony here is that he is not wearing his mask on various images, even in his mock role.

But it looks like the decidedly underdeveloped costume was enough to legitimately scare people.
As her post went viral on Facebook with more than 3,000 shares, some netizens took offense at her choice of Halloween outfit.
However, Jaarvis himself later clarified what he meant by “ambassador”.
