Singapore: A serious vehicle accident occurred on Sunday (May 10) between a motorcycle and a car, causing the motorcyclist to be rushed to the hospital immediately thereafter. The incident occurred in Sengkang.

The pilot is a GrabFood driver, based on a post on the SG Road Vigilante – SGRV Facebook page, which posted photos of the crashes as well as license plates for both vehicles, FBK6845H for the motorcycle and SLV2163S for the other vehicle, a black Mazda phv (Private Hire Vehicle).

The photos showed that the car, which landed on the sidewalk, suffered what appeared to be a considerable impact on the left side of the front of the vehicle, while parts of the motorcycle were scattered on the road.

The SG Road Vigilante publication said, “Head impact on passenger-side windshield.”

Other photos showed the car’s windshield with a large crack on the left side, crowds gathered at the scene of the incident, as well as an ambulance and officials.

On Instagram, a netizen also posted a photo of the bicycle with its license plate, with a caption that read: “Guys, anyone who has had contact with this cyclist should inform the family as soon as possible.”

The post has been shared almost 800 times as of this writing. The rider’s condition, and whether his family has been identified or not, was still unknown at the time of publication of the Facebook post.

But the driver’s father later commented on the post, asking for a video showing the crash elimination, which SG Road Vigilante quickly did. In another comment, the father said his son was in stable condition and would undergo surgery the next day.

Netizens responded to his comment, expressing their wishes for the son’s recovery.

Some netizens in the SG Highway Watch publication commented that the impact of the collision must have been considerable.

Many others wished the driver a speedy recovery.

A netizen urged not to point the finger at or blame either driver and encouraged the others to wish both of them a speedy return to health.

Some others wrote that this particular crossing is accident prone and reminded motorists to drive carefully in this area.

Perhaps because people are more dependent on food delivery passengers during this switch than ever, the people who commented expressed concern and asked drivers to take care of themselves.

Another netizen called on the public to exercise patience with the food delivery riders.
