Chong Pang City, JEM Wet Market and Food Center Among New Places Visited by COVID-19 Cases While Infectious

SINGAPORE: On Thursday (Jan 14) a wet market and food center in Yishun and JEM Mall in Jurong East were added to the Ministry of Health (MOH) list of public places visited by community COVID-19 cases during your infectious period.

Chong Pang City Food Center and Wet Market and JEM Mall were visited on January 9.

Also on the list are the McDonald’s store at Sembawang Cottage and the Sheng Siong supermarket at Junction Nine in Yishun.

Those identified as close contacts of confirmed cases have already been notified by the Ministry of Health.

As a precautionary measure, people who were in these places during the specified times should monitor their health closely for 14 days from the date of the visit.

“They should see a doctor immediately if they develop symptoms of acute respiratory infection (such as cough, sore throat and runny nose), as well as fever and loss of taste or smell, and inform the doctor about their exposure history,” said the Ministry of Health. .

There is no need to avoid places where COVID-19 cases have been recorded, the Health Ministry added.

“The National Environment Agency will involve the administration of the affected facilities to provide guidance on cleaning and disinfection,” the Health Ministry said.

Singapore reported 45 new cases of COVID-19 as of noon on Thursday, including an infection in the community.
