There will be three modes from the beginning. Heart of the Hives pits two teams of four players against each other, as well as large boss hives that appear across the map. Each hive contains a heart, and the first team to hook three wins the game.

At Harvester Command, two squads of eight players will compete to earn 100 points while maintaining control of Essence Harvesters. Alpha Hunters, meanwhile, is a mini battle royale for eight pairs of hunters. The last standing duo wins.

Not only will you have to deal with your opponents, but the dangers of the hostile planet on which you are based go through you. Hero-centric gameplay can be somewhat familiar if you’re authentic with the likes of Supervision, Valorant, Apex Legends and Team Fortress 2, although Essence and environmental hazards can contribute new twists to Melting pot. It remains to be seen exactly how the game will pair with Twitch, which is owned by Amazon.

Melting pot will be available on Steam. It’s Amazon’s first AAA title, which also plans to launch another major title in August, the long-awaited MMO. The new World. The company is also working on a cloud gaming platform called Project Tempo that could compete with Google Stadia, GeForce Now, and Project xCloud.
