An alleged drug dealer died in an attempt to avoid being caught by officers from the Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) during a drug bust on Bukit Batok Street 31 on Monday (September 21).
The occupants of the apartment in which the 63-year-old was found had refused to allow CNB agents in despite the agents repeatedly identifying themselves.
The officers had to enter the unit by force, but before they could enter, the man exited the kitchen window and fell from a height to the ground.

The man was pronounced dead by Singapore Civil Defense Force (SCDF) personnel at the scene.
“A 65-year-old Singaporean and a 33-year-old foreigner were arrested at the unit,” CNB said in a statement.
“A total of approximately 4.790 g of heroin, approximately 1.124 g of ‘ice’, three packets containing approximately 13 g of new psychoactive substances (NPS) and 20 tablets of Erimin-5 were recovered from the toilet bowl and various places of unit.
“Cash worth $ 174,000 was also recovered from the unit, along with various drug paraphernalia.”
This drug bust in Bukit Batok was a follow-up operation.
Prior to this raid, CNB officers intercepted a vehicle near Sunset Way and arrested two Singaporeans, a 44-year-old man and a 37-year-old woman.
Ten packages containing approximately 80 g of heroin were recovered from the vehicle.
CNB said in a statement that prior to the arrest, the 44-year-old met with the 63-year-old man who died while trying to escape from Bukit Batok’s apartment.
In another follow-up operation on Monday night (September 21), CNB agents raided a business unit near Tanjong Pagar Road.
Two Singaporeans, 62 and 64 years old, were arrested in this operation.
A total of 35 packages were seized from the unit, containing approximately 260 g of heroin and 1 g of ‘Ice’.
After this series of drug raids, six suspected drug offenders, including four men and two women between the ages of 33 and 65, were arrested.
A total of approximately 5,130 g of heroin, approximately 1,125 g of “ice”, approximately 13 g of new psychoactive substances (NPS) and 20 tablets of Erimin-5 were seized, the value of which is estimated at almost S $ 700,000.
During the operation, cash was also recovered for $ 174,000.
