SINGAPORE – Beginning Sunday (December 27), all travelers entering Singapore with a travel history in the last 14 days to South Korea must provide a 14-day Stay-at-Home Notice (SHN) at the facility specialized.

The new measure will take effect at 11:59 p.m. on Saturday, the Ministry of Health (MINSA) said on Thursday, due to the sustained increase in cases in South Korea.

The measure will also apply to Singapore-based returning travelers under the reciprocal green lane agreement between Singapore and South Korea due to the increased risk of community spread.

On November 2, travelers from South Korea were allowed to serve their 14-day SHN at a place of residence.

Travelers from Hong Kong, Fiji, Sri Lanka and Thailand can still apply to opt out of SHN’s special facilities and attend their 14-day SHN at their place of residence, the Health Ministry said.

They should meet criteria such as occupying their place of residence alone.

The Health Ministry said: “As the global situation evolves, we will continue to adjust our border measures to manage the risk of importation and transmission to the community.

“Any changes to the border measures will be updated on the SafeTravel website.”
