Valve has released patch 7.26c for dota 2 and there are many changes in the talents of various heroes, as well as some other adjustments to balance the strongest and weakest heroes in the current meta.

The big topic of conversation for patch 7.26c will undoubtedly be radical talent changes for many heroes. Almost all heroes who have received a change in this patch have at least one change in their talents. Of course you can see all the changes in the official patch notes pageBut there are a few changes worth looking into in a little more depth.

Alchemist’s talents have been balanced at levels 10, 15 and 20 to give it a try and even a little more. Most of the time, actually, there was only one option I would take at these levels, but with nerfs for the stronger option and benefits for the weaker option, there should be a little more thought in choosing between them now.

Riki, who has surprisingly played in some professional games Recently, one of his level 25 talents has been modified. Previously it was Cloak and Dagger Doesn’t Reveal, but now it has been changed to +125 Smoke Screen AoE, making his stealth tricks a little less shocking in the hyper late game.

A couple of neutral elements have also seen small changes. Royal Jelly now has a global cast range, and the buff it grants is also given to any illusions you can create. Whereas the Illusionist’s Cloak will now destroy any illusions it has made if the item is not equipped.

And there are some changes to the heroes outside of their talents. Perhaps the greatest benefit in this area comes to Outworld Devourer, whose Essence Flow speed has been increased from 11/22/33/44% to 20/30/40/50%, and the Eclipse base damage of his Sanity increased from 150/225/300 to 150/250/350. OD has been pretty disappointing for a while, so I hope this brings him back a bit.

Sniper shrapnel slow has been reduced slightly at levels one, two, and three and the stun you gain when you have Aghs has been reduced from 1.8 seconds to 1.5 seconds. While it’s not a massive nerf for the hero in the pro scene, hopefully it will make your pub games a little less annoying.

Elsewhere, Leshrac’s Lightning Storm damage has been increased from 80/120/160/200 to 90/130/170/210, Clinkz’s Searing Arrows damage reduced from 30/40/50/60 to 25/35/45/55 and Viper’s Nethertoxin Maximum damage per second has been increased from 60/80/100/120 to 80/100/120/140.
