According to the latest reports, this exciting and underrated star is desperate to sign for Manchester United and his wish could be a big boost.

Some of the best transfers Sir Alex Ferguson made at Manchester United were often unprecedented. The legendary Scotsman had the ability to unearth gems from all continents. Think of the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Javier Hernández, or Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who came as unknown names and became cult heroes at Old Trafford.

The last of the trio is now the man in charge of the Red Devils and Solskjaer has not shied away from imitating his former teacher.

The Norwegian has already made some bold moves since taking over the club. One of them brought Odion Ighalo from China to the Premier League. It was a transfer that was initially derided, however few are laughing at Ighalo’s arrival now with the Nigerian having scored in his four starts before the suspension of football.

And one thing is for sure, Solskjaer will certainly not end his exploration across the continent there.

Yeferson Soteldo is one of the most exciting talents of the Brazilian team Santos. The Brazilian club has produced some of the best talents in world football over the decades. The likes of Pelé and Neymar came through the club’s academy system.

Soteldo certainly remembers Neymar in some ways. The Venezuelan winger has the same low center of gravity and the broad skill set that the Brazilian superstar possesses. Like Neymar, Soteldo likes to dodge his opponents one by one and trick them with clever tricks.

Yeferson Soteldo’s first touch is excellent and can hit previous players with ease. The Venezuelan certainly seems to be one of the best talents to represent Santos since Neymar’s departure from the club almost a decade ago.

And it seems that Yeferson Soteldo hopes to emulate Neymar in the future by moving to Europe, as well as a former United star.

Speaking to The Drink Team Podcast through the Daily Express, Soteldo revealed that he “always dreamed” of playing for United and that that dream “remains intact.”

The Santos midfielder added that he supported the Red Devils for “Cristiano Ronaldo” and for how he would take a “lifetime contract” at the club.

With Solskjaer desperate to add midfield options to his mediocre team, the news will be music to his ears. Especially considering that Yeferson Soteldo has 10 goals and 7 assists for Santos this season.

The Venezuelan footballer is a mix of Neymar and Ronaldo and has great potential to go all the way.

Next: These three transfers are more likely to be made by United in the summer.

Could Yeferson Soteldo become Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s own Neymar?
