SBS Friday-Saturday drama “The King: Eternal Monarch” has shared new stills of Kim Go Eun and Lee Min Ho!

“The King: Eternal Monarch” tells the story of Emperor Lee Gon (Lee Min Ho) and Detective Jung Tae Eul (Kim Go Eun), who live in parallel universes where Korea is a constitutional monarchy and democracy respectively, but work together to try and save people’s lives.

The new images show Lee Gon and Jung Tae Eul facing off in the royal dwellings of the universe where Korea is a constitutional monarchy. They are unable to take their eyes off each other at that time. While Lee Gon has a determined expression on his face, he has a lonely look in his eyes as he looks at Jung Tae Eul, and his eyes are fixed on him as well as they fill with tears.

The tension is mounting as Lee Gon is not in his usual imperial outfit, but in his naval uniform. It remains to be seen why the couple look at each other so intensely and what has prompted Lee Gon to dress in his naval uniform.

Hwa & Dam Pictures stated, “Lee Min Ho and Kim Go Eun continue to build on a love story that spans parallel universes with their incredible chemistry. Lee Gon and Jung Tae Eul have made viewers’ hearts race, but this time they will bring a feeling of sadness. Please anticipate it.

The next episode of “The King: Eternal Monarch” will air at 10 p.m. KST on May 2.
