Thiago looks stunned after being replaced by Jurgen Klopp

While Liverpool secured a much-needed 1-0 win over Wolves, it turned out to be another frustrating night for Thiago.

Since joining Jurgen Klopp’s team in 2020, the midfielder has struggled to regain the form he displayed during his seven years at Bayern Munich.

“I don’t read a word about what people are talking about me,” Thiago recently told TNT Sports. “I know I get some criticism about my performances, but I am not happy with my performance since I got here.

“A new club, a strange situation, I had a strong injury, so getting into rhythm was difficult, but it is not an excuse.

The Spanish international started with Fabinho and Georginio Wijnaldum at Wolves, but failed to make a huge impact on the game.

After the hosts were controversially denied an early penalty, Liverpool’s Diogo Jota returned to haunt his former club by breaking the stalemate at the edge of the break.

Thiago was replaced by Naby Keita in the 67th minute and certainly he didn’t seem happy with the decision.
