SINGAPORE: Marsiling Market and National Service Resort & Country Club in Changi were added to the list of public places visited by community cases of COVID-19 during their infectious period, the Ministry of Health (MINSA) said on Saturday (January 30).
The other place is the Broadway cafeteria at Block 848 Yishun Street 81.

One of the three new community cases, a 72-year-old aviation control officer at Changi Airport Terminal 1, had met 12 other people to play tennis at the National Service Resort & Country Club in Changi, which was in the list.
The Singaporean had developed a cough and a sore throat on Monday, but did not seek medical treatment, the Health Ministry said.
According to the Health Ministry, the man who had previously taken the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine went to work and was tested on Wednesday as part of the routine tests listed.
“As the vaccine does not contain live virus, it could not have been infected due to the vaccine,” said the Ministry of Health.
On Thursday night, he met the tennis group at the country club, which is located at 10 Changi Coast Walk.
Their combined test result came back positive for COVID-19 later Thursday night, and then an individual test was performed at the National Center for Infectious Diseases (NCID), which confirmed the virus.
“Investigations are being carried out to assess whether there was any violation of the security management measures in force,” the Health Ministry said at the tennis meeting.

Another community case, a 68-year-old permanent resident, works as a cleaner at the Broadway cafeteria in Yishun, another location on the list.
On Tuesday he developed a sore throat and body aches, but did not seek medical treatment and went to work the next day.
The man tested positive for COVID-19 on Friday when he sought treatment at a polyclinic.
Those identified as close contacts of confirmed cases have already been notified by the Ministry of Health.
As a precautionary measure, people who were in these places during the specified times should monitor their health closely for 14 days from the date of the visit.
“They should see a doctor immediately if they develop symptoms of acute respiratory infection (such as cough, sore throat and runny nose), as well as fever and loss of taste or smell, and inform the doctor of their history of exposure,” said the Ministry of Health.
There is no need to avoid places where COVID-19 cases have been recorded, the Health Ministry added.
“The National Environment Agency will involve the administration of the affected facilities to provide guidance on cleaning and disinfection,” the Health Ministry said.
Three community cases were among Singapore’s 58 new COVID-19 infections on Saturday.
