Restaurants in Canberra Plaza and Bishan among the places visited by COVID-19 cases during the infectious period

SINGAPORE: On Saturday (January 16), several food and beverage outlets were added to the Ministry of Health’s (MINSA) list of public places visited by community cases of COVID-19 during their infectious period.

Mata Thai restaurants at 11 Bishan Street and Chice at Vision Exchange were among the new places on the list, as well as Ya Kun Kaya Toast in Canberra Plaza.

A Sheng Siong store at 18 Teck Whye Lane was also added to the list.

Those identified as close contacts of confirmed cases have already been notified by the Ministry of Health.

As a precautionary measure, people who were in these places during the specified times should monitor their health closely for 14 days from the date of the visit.

“They should see a doctor immediately if they develop symptoms of acute respiratory infection (such as cough, sore throat and runny nose), as well as fever and loss of taste or smell, and inform the doctor about their exposure history,” said the Ministry of Health. .

There is no need to avoid places where COVID-19 cases have been recorded, the Health Ministry added.

“The National Environment Agency will involve the administration of the affected facilities to provide guidance on cleaning and disinfection,” the Health Ministry said.

Singapore reported 24 new COVID-19 cases as of noon Saturday, including four in the community and one resident of a migrant worker dormitory.
