Google said: “In order for us to distribute an app through Google Play, we need apps to implement strong restraint for egregious content. In light of this urgent and ongoing public safety threat, we will suspend app listings from the Play Store until I address these issues. “

Apple gave Parler 24 hours to “remove all objectionable content from its application … as well as any content that refers to harm to persons or attacks on government facilities now or at any future date.”

The company also required Parler to submit a written plan “to moderate and filter this content” from within the app.

Apple declined to comment.
