Residents near a Hougang HDB block witnessed a harrowing sight – a boy standing on an apartment window sill, Sunday (January 3) morning.
Fortunately, the boy was later rescued by a worker on a lift platform.
In a video clip circulating on social media, the boy is seen standing on the ledge outside a third-floor apartment, with both hands grasping the laundry poles above them.

A worker approaches the child slowly on the crane and then carries him from the ledge to the lifting platform.
The Singapore Civil Defense Force (SCDF) said it received a call for assistance at Block 243 Hougang Street 22 around 7:50 a.m. that day, adding that the boy was rescued prior to his arrival at the scene.
According to SCDF, the boy was not taken to the hospital after an evaluation by a paramedic.
In recent years, children fall from buildings, often as a result of being left home alone.
While some survived their falls, others were not so lucky and died.
