Workers’ Party MP He Ting Ru, 37, has given birth to her third child, a baby.

She announced the news on her Facebook page on New Years Eve Thursday night (December 31), writing, “What a splendid way to wrap up 2020 with the latest addition to our family making his grand entrance!”

Ms. He, who has two other young children between the ages of two and three, posted a photo of herself and her newborn son along with fellow Sengkang GRC MPs Associate Professor Jamus Lim and Mr. Louis Chua.

The duo had visited her earlier in the day, she said, adding, “Incredibly lucky and blessed to have them and the rest of Team WP doing the heavy lifting, especially for the next several months,” he said.

WP boss Pritam Singh said in a Facebook post last Thursday that several WP members will help out at Sengkang on a rotating basis, while Ms He and her Sengkang GRC colleague, Raeesah Khan, are on maternity leave.

He said the team, which includes himself, party chair Sylvia Lim, and Ms. He’s husband Terence Tan, among others, will replace Ms. He and Ms. Raeesah in their weekly meeting sessions to meet to people, home visits and walks around the property.

Ms. He in her post Thursday also thanked the health staff at the hospital where she gave birth for working during the holiday period and taking care of her and her child.

He added: “I wish you all an amazing, healthy and happy 2021!”
