SURBANA Jurong appointed Chaly Mah Chee Kheong as its new president after receiving board approval of a recommendation from the group’s executive committee on resources and compensation.

Mah will replace the founding president of the urban and infrastructure consultancy, Liew Mun Leong, from January 1, 2021.

The news comes months after Mr. View resigned from the group in September 2020 along with his other business and public service roles, including that of Chairman of the Changi Airport Group (CAG), following the acquittal of his former domestic aide. that he was accused of robbing him and his family.

In a press release issued on Monday, Surbana Jurong said it hopes Mah will bring extensive board experience and leadership to the position of chairman of the group.

Mah currently serves as Chairman of several organizations, including the Singapore Tourism Board and NetLink NBN Trust, which is listed on the motherboard, and was previously Chairman of the Singapore Land Authority and the Singapore International Chamber of Commerce. In particular, he spent more than 38 years working for the audit consulting firm Deloitte, during which time he held executive positions in the firm’s offices in Southeast Asia and Asia-Pacific.
