SINGAPORE – Drug raids have captured six suspects and narcotics worth more than $ 475,000 in two days.
Three men and three women between the ages of 28 and 55 were arrested, the Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) said on Friday (December 18). The seized drugs included more than 4 kg of cannabis.
CNB agents also seized 466 g of heroin, 999 g of methamphetamine, also known as Ice, 753 g of ketamine, 105 tablets and fragments of ecstasy, and 285 tablets of Erimin-5.
Other substances seized included two bottles suspected of containing liquid ecstasy and one bottle of liquid suspected of containing gamma hydroxybutyric acid.
On Wednesday, CNB agents arrested a 30-year-old Singaporean in a commercial building on Pasir Ris Drive 3.
Approximately 104 g of cannabis, 15 g of ice, 32 g of ketamine, nine tablets and fragments of ecstasy and 11 tablets of Erimin-5 were recovered from their vehicle.
CNB officers discovered another 495g of cannabis and 1g of ketamine at the man’s hideout on Beach Road.
A separate team of CNB officers escorted the man to a store on MacPherson Road on Thursday.
Authorities found 3,558 g of cannabis, 461 g of heroin, 9 g of ice, 29 ecstasy tablets and two bottles suspected of containing liquid ecstasy.
Several items of drug paraphernalia were also seized from the store.
In a follow-up to the MacPherson Road raid, CNB officers arrested two suspected drug offenders in a hotel room on Orchard Boulevard Thursday.
The two were a 33-year-old Singaporean and a 30-year-old foreigner.
A total of 1 g of cannabis, 5 g of heroin, 910 g of ice, 720 g of ketamine, 67 tablets and fragments of ecstasy, and 274 tablets of Erimin-5 were recovered, as well as a bottle of liquid suspected of containing gamma hydroxybutyric acid.
In another follow-up raid Thursday, a 28-year-old Singaporean woman was arrested at a hotel on Tyrwhitt Road. At his residence, 1 g of ice was found.
A 55-year-old Singaporean and a 41-year-old foreigner were also arrested Thursday on Ang Mo Kio 4 Avenue. Both are believed to be linked to the 33-year-old man.
Four packages containing 64 g of ice were found in his possession.
Investigations are ongoing.
