When stomper Alone Moved back to her mother’s house in October of this year, she was surprised to be greeted by so many mosquito buzzes.

Jen told Stomp on December 7 that this issue has been happening in her mother’s apartment in Block 509 Tampines Central 1 since October, and it has been happening until now.

The photo shows the mosquitoes that Jen has killed and kept in Ziploc bags for less than a month.

“I keep track of the mosquitoes we catch each week. In the week of November 20, we caught a record number of 103 mosquitoes,” Jen said.

“I am desperate to get rid of these mosquitoes. This condition of life is affecting the quality of life of my family and does not favor us to work from home.

“We get bitten by mosquitoes, but not all the time, because we eliminate every hour with our three electric fly swatters to kill them.

“But even if they don’t bite us, they still sting a lot when they just fly around our legs.”

Jen added that she has informed the National Environment Agency (NEA) and the Tampines City Council about this matter.

“I hope the tree grown outside my mother’s house is cut down, because that’s where the mosquitoes breed and fly,” Jen said.

“I recorded a video of the mosquitoes flying around the tree, although I think the quality is not very good and it is difficult to see them.”

Stomp has contacted NEA and the Tampines City Council for more information.
