Just two days ago, former actor Joshua Ang made the announcement about his divorce on his social networks. The news took many by surprise, including local director Jack Neo, who worked with him on the films I Not Stupid and the latest Era Diam Diam.

Joshua did not reveal the reason for the divorce, but last night (December 15), his ex-wife Shannon Low shared her side of the story on Instagram. In a series of Instagram stories, Low claimed that Joshua was an “abusive, violent and irresponsible father” who lies and victimizes himself in the media.

Joshua and Low married in 2018 and had their son, Jed, the same year.

Joshua, 31, has told AsiaOne that the accusations against him are “false and unsubstantiated” and that he will seek legal advice. He also said that the root of the divorce was “financial problems.”

On her Instagram, Low said the last straw for her was when “the fat hit my jaw while I was holding Jeddy” and that she was only saying what she was saying because Joshua wanted to “start spreading your juicy news.” Low also claimed that she kicked him out of the house.

She shared comments from netizens who had allegedly observed Joshua’s abusive behavior in public and said they were true.

One of the comments read: “Perhaps this is good news for the wife. I once witnessed how badly he treated his wife and son while eating frog legs in Geylang. The table is next to mine. Very bad temper yelling at the wife and scolding her vulgar [sic] in public, ignoring the son who cried and the wife was still silent.

“Then [the] argument, he just went like this and left them alone in the coffeeshop. The poor wife kept eating and feeding the son despite many people watching. And he never came back, even after I left with my family. “

This was just “one of many abusive incidents after marriage,” Low wrote.

According to Low, Joshua allegedly beat her and “broke and destroyed so many things at home in front of Jeddy.” One of the items was his television, of which Low shared a photo and said it was smashed and replaced multiple times. Low also alleged that Joshua yelled at mother and son when she told him not to drive recklessly with Jed in the car; and that he stole money.

She added: “If you ‘love’ your son so much, you would not cut off the electricity / water / wi-fi / home insurance without informing [us]. I wanted to make milk for Jed first thing in the morning, but realized there was no water. Jed got his diapers dirty, no water to clean him. I needed a week to reinstall everything. “

His neighbors were also not spared from his abusive behavior, Low said. She said he “got through” his pregnant neighbor’s door, “threw her things” and “made fun of them.” And when Low tried to tell her to leave them alone, he would scold her for siding with them. He also alleged that he had used a “knife and an electric drill to threaten me while I was arguing.”

Low added that he “erased all of our chat history” and that she was unable to obtain a Personal Protection Order (PPO) against him due to lack of evidence of his violent behavior.

He also shared a screenshot of CCTV footage of Joshua’s neighbor at his door when he apparently returned to collect his things, the door was closed and he didn’t want to wait for Low’s mother. She wrote: “He called the locksmith to damage the digital lock to ‘take’ his things, or rather, loot the whole house.”

In response to AsiaOne, Joshua denied all of Low’s claims, saying that when he returned to the home, four police officers were present and “advised me to find a locksmith.” She also said that she “did not kick me out of the house” and that she has “facts and evidence to show that I left the house.”

Joshua also posted Instagram Stories addressing the issue, saying that “there are always two sides to a story” and that he is “keeping quiet” for now about the things she has done because he doesn’t want them to “be overdone.” “.

He wrote: “As for the truth, we are still going through several court cases. I will post my affidavit for everyone to see when the time is right, if necessary. So before the truth is known, do not believe what you read. or listen online. Honestly, I would choose to resolve this amicably because I believe that marriage and divorce are private matters. “

As for the PPO, he clarified that the district judge “dismissed it on October 23, even saying that the accusations were ridiculous.”

“I am going through an access order now because she denied me access to my son for 194 days. And regarding the current matter, tomorrow I will take legal action against her and spare no expense for my reputation. The highest faith in the system. Singapore judicial system, and I assure you, the truth will come out, “he said.
