A struggling Inter Milan star is keen to turn down a Manchester United signing in hopes of joining PSG, while Gareth Bale has taken a surprising U-turn on remaining at Tottenham, according to rumors from Tuesday transfers.
ERIKSEN IS ESTABLISHED FOR SNUB UNITED
Inter Milan midfielder Christian eriksen reportedly willing to reject the interest of United manchester hoping to get a signing for PSG.
The former Tottenham player has struggled to establish himself since moving to the San Siro last January, with the Serie A giants set to cut their losses just 12 months later.
After an hour-long fight against Cagliari, Inter coach Angtonio Conte said that “some players may go away.” That piqued United’s interest, particularly given the continual doubts about the future of Paul Pogba and Donny van de Beek’s struggle to adapt to English football.
But, as the Daily star, Eriksen is likely to reject the Red Devils’ interest and wait for a move to PSG.
Inter has offered it to clubs across Europe and expects a £ 27m fee, rather than an exchange or loan to buy.
The report adds that sources close to Eriksen say he is not interested in returning to English football, especially since his reputation has been damaged in Italy.
The 28 year old who has also been linked to Arsenal, finished a six-and-a-half-year stint at Tottenham in January 2020. But he has only scored four goals in 37 appearances in all competitions for Inter.
The Denmark international, with 103 caps, got off to an unusual start to the weekend, but was withdrawn early with his side 1-0 down. Inter won 3-1 with Eriksen watching from the bench.
His departure now seems inevitable, although Eriksen’s next destination is far from set for the new year.
