SINGAPORE – 16 new coronavirus cases have been confirmed as of Tuesday noon (Dec. 15), bringing Singapore’s total to 58,341.
There were 15 imported cases that were placed on stay-at-home notices upon arrival in Singapore, the Ministry of Health (MINSA) said.
There was a new case of a workers dormitory and none from the community.
More details will be announced Tuesday night.

The new cases involved four Singapore-employed work permit holders and one short-term visit pass holder.
Three of the work permit holders are Indonesian women, aged 27-35, who traveled from Indonesia.
The holder of the remaining work permit is a 32-year-old woman who came from the Philippines.
The holder of the short-term visit pass is a 24-year-old man who returned from India. You are enrolled in a private educational institution in Singapore.
All five cases were asymptomatic and detected through proactive screening and surveillance, the Health Ministry said.
They were tested while they delivered their stay-at-home notices at specialized facilities.
There were no new community cases and none of the migrant workers’ bedrooms, the ministry added. He also said that the number of new cases in the community has remained low, with no new cases in the last week.
With two cases discharged on Monday, 58,195 patients have made a full recovery from the disease.
A total of 22 patients remained in the hospital, none in intensive care, while 64 patients were still recovering in community facilities.
Singapore has had 29 deaths from Covid-19 complications, while 15 who tested positive have died from other causes.
Globally, the virus outbreak, which began in December last year, has infected more than 72.2 million people. More than 1.6 million people have died.
