It has been such a bad year for everyone so far that there is even a journal that allows you to complain like a true Singaporean.
But before the close of 2020, he seems determined to deliver just one more bad news: Former actor Joshua Ang will be divorcing his wife of two years.
According to a report by 8 World, the 31-year-old was asked about his marriage while promoting Jack Neo’s new film, The Diam Diam Era, but declined to comment.
However, on the night of December 14, she took to social media to announce her divorce. It began with the Oscar Wilde quote “divorces are made in heaven” before saying that he had “good news” to share. He hoped that when netizens heard the news, they would congratulate him rather than comfort him or show pity.
It was also reported that he posted an old photo, holding an ultrasound of his son with his ex-wife Shannon, with the caption “Happy divorce.”
Joshua did not reveal the reason for the separation and removed all photos and posts of Shannon from his social media account.
A quick review today (December 15) also revealed that he has made his Instagram account private.
Joshua, who became famous as a child actor for his roles in I Not Stupid and Homerun, married Shannon in 2018. They had their son Jed in the same year.
Last year, Joshua spoke about his terrifying experience with his confinement nanny. Joshua claimed that the babysitter had a lot of unreasonable requests and over-fed Jed. The baby, who was only eight days old at the time, was later admitted to hospital for aspiration pneumonia, with milk in his lungs.
Joshua said Jed had choked on the milk, which is why it was in his lungs, and found that the babysitter was not feeding Jed properly.
“We checked the nipples on the bottle, and true to our suspicions, she had cut the nipple off the bottles, big enough to pass a straw. The milk flow was too fast for Jed. And Jed was only a week old,” he wrote.
