Doing the crime, doing the time – that’s how Darryl Ian Koshy, or better known as radio DJ Dee Kosh, found himself doing a corrective work order (CWO) for littering.

Photos of him wearing the neon pink and green vest outside the Jurong East Library began circulating on social media on Monday (December 14), sparking a wave of discussion about the authenticity of the photo and whether the public appearance it was recent.

After all, the 32-year-old has kept a low profile for the past four months as police investigated him for several reports alleging that he had sexually harassed minors.

Captured alongside him in another photo that appeared Monday is Ryan Tan of Night Owl Cinematics (NOC), who has since stepped out to clear things up.

“Yes indeed we are doing our corrective work order because we got caught littering,” he wrote yesterday on Instagram.

He explained that the couple were caught littering last December, and the experience served as the inspiration for a YouTube sketch in which a plainclothes officer approached them for carelessly dumping trash on the ground. Ryan was later shown serving the CWO in the skit.

“We think we should integrate [it] in our video we filmed [eight] months ago because while it was a bad thing, I thought we had learned a really valuable lesson, we have never littered after that, “Ryan wrote.

In response to several inquiries he had received about his friendship with Dee Kosh, he took the opportunity to share that “they are still friends”, despite having to put their projects and collaborations on hold.

“What my company does is a different matter,” Ryan said, continuing to explain that the two have an unbreakable bond.

While he refrained from commenting on Dee Kosh’s alleged actions, he emphasized that they “have never been role models” as they are just artists.

On another note, Ryan thanked members of the public who gave them space after seeing them serving their CWO.
