As an oncoming bicyclist cut right in front of his path, Silver Hoe swerved his bike to the side, crashed and passed out.
When he came to, 10 to 15 minutes later, he had no recollection of where he was or what had happened.
“Fortunately, it was only a temporary memory loss,” he told Lianhe Zaobao.
Aside from a concussion, the accident, which occurred on Friday night (December 11) along the Punggol Park connector, left the 36-year-old woman with bruises all over her face, elbows, hands and knee. He also had a blood clot in his brain despite wearing a helmet.
“I cannot open my right eye due to severe swelling and the bruising is quite severe.”
In a Facebook post uploaded the day after the accident, she appealed to witnesses to come forward as the other cyclist sped without stopping to help her.
Hoe, who had been biking with her husband that night, added: “I can’t imagine what will happen if I’m alone! Maybe he was too scared when he saw me lying motionless and unanswered, but this is not a problem. Excuse me. [sic]. “
She also thanked a group of cyclists who helped her after her fall.
Speaking to AsiaOne, Hoe said that his eye has healed a bit since then and the bruise has lessened a bit. Now you can open your eye a little and the doctor told you that the blood clot in your brain had shrunk.
The woman also plans to file a police report once she is discharged from the hospital.
