The National Service Resort and Country Club (NSRCC) is looking to improve its existing drainage system after a torrential downpour on Wednesday (December 9) caused flooding at the club’s premises.

Stomper Casey shared a distributed video of the flooding in the lobby of the country club, which is located on Changi Coast Walk.

In the video, a woman walks through the flood in high heels as heavy rain continues to fall in the background.

A man can be seen drawing water from what appears to be a reception area.

Two men in yellow boots can also be seen wading through the water as one of the men lifts a shoe off the ground.

Casey, who was not at the club at the time, said: “Look how the lobby was flooded due to the heavy downpour on Wednesday.”

In response to a query from Stomp, an NSRCC spokesperson said: “The downpour was stronger than normal and NSRCC is currently looking at ways to improve our existing drainage system to ensure such cases do not reoccur when abnormal weather occurs. “.
