SINGAPORE: Singapore reported seven new COVID-19 cases on Sunday (December 13), the Ministry of Health (MINSA) said in its preliminary update.
All new cases were imported and placed on a stay-at-home notice upon arrival in Singapore.
There were no new cases of locally transmitted COVID-19 infection.
Details on the new cases will be released later tonight, the ministry said.
BORDER RESTRICTIONS FOR HONG KONG REINFORCED
Border restrictions for Hong Kong will tighten starting at 11:59 p.m. Sunday, as the city continues to fight an increase in COVID-19 cases.
Travelers entering Singapore with a history of Hong Kong travel in the past 14 days will be required to provide a two-week stay-at-home notice at specialized facilities.
They were previously allowed to serve a seven-day stay-at-home notice at their place of residence.

Travelers from Hong Kong will also be required to perform a COVID-19 polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test within 72 hours prior to departure and submit a valid negative result as a condition for approval to enter Singapore.
Singaporeans and permanent residents are exempt from the test.
The changes are due to the “increased risk of community spread recently,” the Health Ministry said.
Travelers may choose not to participate in the dedicated facilities and deliver the notice of stay at home at their place of residence. To do so, they must not have visited any other place in the 14 days before entering Singapore, and must occupy their place of residence alone or with household members with the same travel history and with the same length of notice of stay in the home.
Singapore and Hong Kong previously postponed a planned air travel bubble, originally scheduled to begin on November 22, amid a surge in COVID-19 cases in the city.
Singapore has reported a total of 58,320 cases of COVID-19.
