Young man arrested after kicking and trampling car in Bedok, yelling at police

A 20-year-old man was arrested for disorderly conduct after causing a riot in the early hours of Wednesday (December 9).

Stomper V He was up late playing Mobile Legends when his game was interrupted by a commotion downstairs at Block 403 Bedok North Avenue 3, around 2.30am.

V, who shared videos of the incident, recounted: “I was finishing up my Mobile Legends game and I heard a guy yell loudly.

“I decided to ignore it, but then I heard banging. So I walked out of the house and saw a group of young punks in the parking lot.

“A guy was violently pushing a girl into a silver truck. His friends came and tried to calm him down, but he failed.

Then he ran over to one of the boys and went under the empty deck of Block 403.

“I’m not sure what happened there, but he ran out and started venting his anger on a poor, innocent black car that was parked in the parking lot.

“Two stomps were all it took to break the car’s windshield. I’m not sure if his leg strength was ‘tokong’ or if the windshield was lousy.”

In the videos taken by V, the young man can be seen repeatedly kicking a car, then jumping on its hood and stepping on it.

Later, a police car arrives at the scene, which the young man approaches. He is heard yelling at one of the policemen before being handcuffed.

V added: “I am not one of those kaypohs who wants to do nonsense, but I would like to share these videos because I thought it could help the police or the car owner to claim the insurance.

“I also hope that the boy’s leg is fine and that he has received support and help.”

In response to an inquiry from Stomp, police said they were alerted to a case of disorderly behavior at 2.33am and arrested a 20-year-old man in connection with the case.

No injuries were reported.
