Singapore – A motorcyclist is shown speeding through double white lines and crashing into an oncoming motorcyclist in video circulating online.
On Friday (December 4), the Facebook page ROADS.sg uploaded video footage of the incident from a vehicle’s dash cam. According to the post, the accident happened the night before on South Buona Vista Road.
“Ignore the double white lines and hit another rider on the opposite side,” read the caption. The post also highlighted that there was a speed limit of 40 km / h on the road.
The motorcyclist can be seen passing the vehicle that captured the incident on his dash cam. In doing so, he crosses the double white lines and enters the opposite lane and collides with an oncoming motorcycle. Both cyclists fall to the road.

“South Buona Vista Road is a road with many curves and steep slopes. The double white lines cover more than 50 percent of this stretch of the road, ”added ROADS.sg in a post of a similar incident that occurred in April 2018.
Those who commented on the publication asked the authorities to criticize the cyclist so that others are not injured in the future. “This reckless rider should be penalized for causing injury to the other rider and had his license suspended,” said Facebook user Cai Chen.
“I have been using this road for almost 10 years and have seen a lot of accidents,” commented Facebook user Michael De Souza. “People don’t seem to care that the double white lines mean they can’t pass. The Traffic Police should install cameras along this road, “he added.
“I’m a motorcyclist, but this is really a case where ambition trumps skill,” Facebook user Wahid Ooi Abdullah commented. “
