Thomas Tuchel picks Man Utd duo likely to pose threat to PSG

Thomas Tuchel has named Marcus Rashford and Edinson Cavani as the two players who can cause trouble for Manchester United against Paris Saint-Germain.

United host PSG on Wednesday night in the Champions League, knowing that a victory would see them through.

That is the result they obtained in the reverse accessory, when Bruno Fernandes and Rashford scored in the 2-1 away win.

Before their next meeting, Tuchel has praised the latter for his impact on and off the field. He believes Rashford will be a dangerous man again.

“We value him a lot when he plays in England and not at Parc des Princes, honestly, because (scoring against us) gets a bit annoying,” Tuchel said.

“The guy is a very young adult who takes responsibility on and off the field in an impressive way.

“I have met him as an opponent three times and each time I have met a calm, humble and nice guy, which is amazing. I really like this mix.

“For me personally, the sports side is clear. He’s a huge threat with his speed, his ability to score, his determination and his shot.

“It is very accurate, it shoots in and out of the area. He’s super fast on counterattacks and strong in the air with head butts.

“He has had a great impact and it’s good to see guys like him from the academy have such a big impact on a great club like United.”

Tuchel knows what to expect from Cavani

Another striker Tuchel is well aware of the danger is Cavani. The Uruguayan left PSG as his all-time top scorer to join United in the summer.

Cavani scored a double in the win against Southampton at the weekend. And his former boss is happy that he is now showing his qualities in the Premier League.

However, having worked with the player before, Tuchel hopes that Cavani does not show what he is capable of against his former club.

“His determination is a rare characteristic for a forward of his quality, always ready to do everything for the team,” he said.

“He has a great physical impact, scoring is very natural for him. It is reliable 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You can call him at night and he will be there to score and defend.

“I am happy for him personally because he was able to show this to all Man Utd fans in the last game against Southampton where he was absolutely decisive for them.

“You don’t need to show it tomorrow; We already know, so you can take a little break! You don’t need to show it to us. If he plays, we must find answers for that. “
