A winning combination of view, size and proximity to an MRT station recently saw a five-bedroom apartment in Ang Mo Kio cross the million dollar mark. It sold for $ 1,008,888 in November.
The unit is located in Block 310b of the Teck Ghee Vista farm, which was completed in 2011.
In an interview with Shin Min Daily News, Derek Yap, who is the owner of the apartment and the real estate agent behind the successful transaction, said it took him more than half a year to sell the unit, not thanks to the disruption caused by the pandemic Covid-19.
Yap added that he made more than 10 separate visits for potential buyers before finding someone who was willing to shell out a seven-figure sum.
He explained that one of the three main attractions of the apartment on the 25th floor is its impressive view of the surroundings. Teck Ghee Vista overlooks Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park, a lush green area with a skating rink, fenced dog park, cafes, and restaurants.
