A man was horrified when he saw a cockroach intrusion onto the stair landing of Block 275D Compassvale Link.
Stomper Marcus, who is a resident of the area, told Stomp that he saw the pests on October 30 at 10:41 p.m. and was curious as to why there were so many roaches there.
“I’m not sure why all of a sudden there are so many roaches on the stair landing,” Marcus said.
“Could it be because the stairs are near the cafeteria around the corner? Perhaps these pests decided to nest near the food establishments.
“I hope that improper food disposal is not causing this problem.”
Marcus added that residents frequently use the ladder and that he has never seen so many roaches in the area before.
He also shared the location of the staircase accompanied by a photo of the nearby coffee shop.
“I am concerned about this problem and hope that something can be done soon to eliminate these cockroaches,” said Marcus.
Stomp has contacted the Sengkang City Council for more information.
