SINGAPORE: Singapore reported four new COVID-19 cases as of noon on Friday (Nov. 27), the Ministry of Health (MINSA) said in its preliminary daily update.
All new cases were imported and placed on a stay-at-home notice upon arrival in Singapore.
More details will be provided on Friday evening, the Health Ministry said.
FIRST COMMUNITY CASE IN 15 DAYS
Singapore reported its first community case of COVID-19 in more than two weeks on Thursday, a 32-year-old Singaporean man working as a service engineer at Master Systems Marine.
Currently, the case is not linked.
The man developed a fever and sore throat the night of November 23 and the next day he sought medical treatment at a general medicine clinic, where he was tested for COVID-19.
He was then taken by ambulance to the National Center for Infectious Diseases the next day when his test came back positive, the Health Ministry said.
“His serological test has been negative, indicating that it is a new infection,” said the Ministry of Health.

The man also dined with 12 family members at the Seoul Garden in Tampines Mall on November 21.
“They had occupied three tables and there was a mix between the groups,” the ministry said.
Among those attending the dinner was his two-year-old niece, who had been issued a medical certificate from November 20-24 for a runny nose. Since then, he has tested negative for COVID-19.
“Investigations are underway to assess whether there has been any violation of the relevant safe management measures,” the Health Ministry said.
All of his identified close contacts have been isolated and quarantined. Tests will be conducted at the beginning and end of your quarantine period.
“We will also conduct serological tests on your household and family contacts to determine if you may have been infected by them,” the ministry said.
Singapore’s COVID-19 case count is 58,199 as of Friday.
