A man was driving on Punggol Drive and was surprised to see a group of more than 20 cyclists taking over the road.

The incident, which occurred on Saturday (November 21) at 7.30 am, was caught by Stomper Anonymous‘camera in the car.

“I was driving happily until I saw a large group of cyclists taking up the entire lane,” Stomper said.

“This is not the first time I have come across something like this. I often see groups of cyclists on the road, especially on weekends.

“It was frustrating to see them blatantly ignoring the safe distancing rules that were put in place due to Covid-19.

“I also think bicyclists are supposed to stay to the left side of the left lane and not occupy the entire lane. It is concerning because this could result in an accident and they could be injured.”

According to a Facebook post from the Singapore Cycling Federation, cyclists should only ride their bikes in groups of five.
