2 drivers, including an unconscious man, taken to hospital after a 6-vehicle accident along CTE

Two men were taken to hospital after a chain-link collision involving six vehicles along the Central Highway (CTE) on Friday (November 20).

Police told Stomp they were alerted to the accident, which occurred on the Ayer Rajah Expressway (AYE) and before the Braddell Road exit at 11.18 a.m.

The accident involved five cars and a truck, police said.

A 64-year-old car driver was conscious when he was taken to Tan Tock Seng Hospital.

“Another 56-year-old car driver was unconscious when he was taken to Tan Tock Seng Hospital,” police added.

Stomper Anonymous, who was on his way to work, shared a video showing numerous vehicles at the scene of the accident.

Cranes and traffic police can also be seen.

The Land Transportation Authority (LTA) tweeted about a congestion extends to exit 5 of Ang Mo Kio Avenue and advised road users to avoid three lanes.

Anonymous said: “I was stuck in a traffic jam for about 15 to 20 minutes.”

Police investigations are ongoing.
