Rescuing any animal is not an easy task, but this man not only took an injured bird under his wing, he gave it the VIP treatment.
It all started when the man, who goes by the name Hantu Bin Jembalang, posted to the Nature Society (Singapore) Facebook group on Wednesday (November 17) seeking advice on how to care for an injured bird to regain health.
He rescued the bird at Choa Chu Kang Avenue 1 after a slowing down bus to pick up children from school struck the bird and knocked it onto the road, he shared.
Fortunately, he was able to reach him before he was run over.
Sharing photos of the bright green and blue bird perched on her finger, she added that the bird appeared to be “in shock.”
Eagle-eyed netizens quickly identified him as a hooded pitta, a type of migratory bird, and advised him to contact the Society for Animal Concerns Research and Education (Acres).
Wasting no time, he set off for Acres with the bird as a “VIP guest”, unleashing the entire vehicle.
