A woman was caught on camera damaging a pomegranate plant and stealing its branches outside a residential unit along Serangoon Road.

Stomper Harry shared CCTV footage and photos of the incident that occurred outside her mother’s store last Wednesday (Nov 11), at 8.33pm

In the video, the woman, who is dressed in a blue tank top and shorts, can be seen approaching the potted plants outside the store and looking at them.

He then reaches out and breaks the plant branches twice, before placing the loot in his bag and setting off.

Harry told Stomp, “This is in the little lane next to St. Michael’s.

“This lady came to steal and destroy my mother’s blooming pomegranate.

“She must have lost a lot of money at some nearby illegal joint and needed some luck with the pomegranate leaves and the blooming buds.

“If he had asked, we could have cut the branches properly, but sneaking around to break the branches could kill the plant.”

When asked if he recognized the woman, Harry said that he had seen her before and that a police report was made.
