UNJUST DRUGS COULD HAVE “DESTROYED MORE THAN 7,000 LIVES”: CNB

Investigations into the drug-related activities of all the suspects are ongoing.

The CNB said the total amount of drugs seized in the operation is enough to feed 6,740 heroin users, 1,630 ice users and 1,080 cannabis users for a week.

“Even with movement restrictions due to the COVID situation, drug traffickers are still making big bets, exploiting the situation, in order to benefit from the addiction,” said Superintendent Aaron Tang, director of CNB’s Intelligence Division.

“These traffickers will not stop trying. But we will not lower our guard either, “he added.

CNB added that it will continue to mount “regular and sustained operations against drug traffickers and abusers alike.”
