When a man approached Stomper Priya For some extra money after claiming that he had lost his wallet, she decided to help him get out of his routine and gave him $ 5.

However, she felt cheated after seeing the man approach other people with the same story of sobbing.

She was even more upset after encountering the man doing the same when she passed through the same area two weeks later.

Priya first encountered the man outside the Far East Plaza along Scotts Road on October 26, around 9:20 a.m. M.

Priya recounted: “This man was asking people between $ 4 and $ 6, claiming that he had dropped his wallet somewhere else and needed some cash to reload his EZ-Link card.

“I gave him $ 5 because I thought he really needed it, but in the end, I found out that he was asking everyone he knew for money.”

However, Stomper thought it was a one-time thing, until he saw the man again on Monday morning (November 9).

Priya said: “I saw the same guy again on Scotts Road at 8.45am.

“He told the same old story, but this time I left, irritated.”
