SINGAPORE – All candidates for this year’s national exams will be able to view their exam results online on the day the respective results are released, in light of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
In a press release on Tuesday (Oct 27), the Ministry of Education (MOE) said that the results can be viewed through the Singapore Examinations and Assessment Board (SEAB) results publication system on its site. Web.
Candidates can access the system with a system-generated password issued by SEAB or with their SingPass:
-
PSLE candidates will receive a system generated password issued by SEAB through their schools beginning November 12;
-
GCE-level candidates who are eligible for SingPass must activate their SingPass in advance. Candidates who are not eligible for SingPass will receive a password generated by the SEAB system via email a few days before the results are published.
The tentative dates for the publication of the results of the respective national examinations are indicated below. The exact dates will be confirmed later, approximately one week before each day of publication of results:
Sick, quarantined or SHN candidates
School candidates who are unwell, or who are under a Quarantine Order, Notice to Stay Home, or Leave of Absence on the day the results are published, should not return to school to collect their results. Instead, they should see their results online. A physical copy of your results can be obtained from your respective schools at a later date.
Those who are unable to collect their results at school may designate a proxy to collect a physical copy of their results, as well as the Secondary 1 option form, the Joint Admission Exercise form, the Polytechnic Foundation Program form or the Joint Admission Exercise form on your behalf.
If you are unable to designate a proxy to collect your results, you can contact your school for assistance in submitting the results and related forms.
The collection will take place in small groups in the classrooms.
Candidates who collect their results at school are expected to observe established safe management measures. They will also need to register through SafeEntry and be screened for fever or flu-like symptoms.
To avoid congestion, this year’s results collection will be done in small groups in individual classrooms, rather than in large, cluttered venues like the school room in previous years.
For PSLE candidates, a parent or guardian may accompany each child to school to collect the results. They would have to wait in the designated common areas in the schools and observe the safe handling measures in place.
For the collection of GCE level exam results, only candidates from the school will be allowed to enter the school premises.
Private candidates will be notified of their results by mail.
