SINGAPORE – Seven new coronavirus cases were confirmed as of Wednesday noon (October 28), bringing Singapore’s total to 57,987.
The new cases were all imported and placed on stay-at-home notices upon arrival in Singapore, the Ministry of Health (MINSA) said on Wednesday.
There were no new cases in the community and none in the workers’ bedrooms.
More details will be announced Wednesday night.
On Tuesday night, the Health Ministry reported that the Raffles City Mall, Bugis Junction and Arcade @ The Capitol Kempinski had been added to the list of places visited by patients infected with Covid-19.
The Health Ministry said the visits were recorded at The Coffee Academics store in the Raffles City Mall, the Toast Box in Bugis Junction and the La Scala Ristorante at Arcade @ The Capitol Kempinski on Stamford Road.
People who visited the places on the list at the same time should closely monitor their health for two weeks from the date of their visit.

Singapore also confirmed seven new coronavirus cases on Tuesday.
They included a community case: a 28-year-old Vietnamese woman who arrived in Singapore with an air pass on October 10. She is her brother’s caregiver who was receiving medical treatment in Singapore for a condition not related to Covid-19. .
The remaining six new patients were imported and placed on stay-at-home notices upon arrival in Singapore.
They include two work pass holders, two work permit holders, a dependent pass holder and a short term visit pass holder.
The work pass holders came from Japan and France, while the two work permit holders came from Indonesia. The holder of the dependent pass came from the UK, while the holder of the short-term visit pass traveled from Indonesia to visit his son, who is a permanent resident here.
There were no new cases in workers’ bedrooms and no new Covid-19 clusters were announced on Tuesday.
The number of new cases in the community has decreased from four cases two weeks ago to three last week, the Health Ministry added.
The number of unrelated cases in the community in one week has increased from two to three in the same period.
With four cases discharged, 57,868 patients have fully recovered from the disease.
On Tuesday, a total of 43 patients remained in the hospital, while 26 were in community facilities. None are in intensive care.
Singapore has had 28 deaths from Covid-19 complications, while 15 who tested positive have died from other causes. Globally, the virus outbreak, which began in December last year, has infected more than 43.4 million people. More than 1.15 million people have died.
